Do all Minis have leather steering wheels with perforated leather even if they are equipped with leatherette seats?

Also, if you don't order the trip computer, do you get an outside temperature gauge?

The standard steering wheel is not leather-covered. You can get a leather-covered steering wheel as an option.

Cars without the trip computer get a temperature display in the tachometer face (selectable between temperature and vehicle speed).

Yes, Cooper S comes standard with a leather sport steering wheel, which should be perforated (I have a MC, not an MCS so I don't know if the leather coverings are different between the MC-optional leather wheel and the MCS-standard leather wheel). The leather on my MC wheel is perforated (the leather sport multifunction wheel). Confused yet? I am!!!

Whoah! I've had my car almost a year, got 22,000+ miles on it and didn't know anything about selectablity! Of course, my aged brain tends to malfunction at times.

What did I miss? How do you "select" between temp and velocity? (I'm one of those who ignores the manual and just jumps behind the wheel.)

Look for a small button on top of the lever that controls the lights and turn signals. It would be on top of the outer, fatter portion.

Good luck!
