Have a 2004 on order that will be in soon. Unfortunately, I have not sold my Boxster S(any takers?) and may have to postpone my Mini. If I don't take my ordered Mini now, may wait and go for 2005. Does anyone know the earliest I could expect to get the next year's model-late summer, early fall?

Depending on where you live (East Coast, West Coast or Hawaii) you could expect delivery of an '05 in either late September '04 for East Coast delivery or late October early November delivery if you are as far west as Hawaii.

However, the trend seems to be that to get all of the features introduced for the new model year, you actually would want to wait as long as late January or in some cases March of '05 to get ALL of the features planned for introduction in the 2005 model year.

For example HK audio and rain sensing wipers were in late December '02 builds for the '03 model year. DVD based nav system however was as late as March '03 builds...

Well...I guess I am a East Coaster (Midwest actually)...ordered my '04 MC on 8/11/03, picked it up on 10/11/03...so, I would have to go with late summer 2004 for a 2005 model.

You could have 2 cooper S's for that much or a JCW Cooper S and a base cooper S. Or a Stripped Cooper s with the works package, a nicely equipped Cooper, and money left over for a #2 at Mcdonalds (Supersized of course) and an Ice cream cone.
