I can't say that it is the best adaptation for a MINI but it's better than converting a Mustang into a lawnmower!
Yup, today is the day after thanksgiving Monster garage marathon session.

Oh yeah, and the MINI did work, well sort of.

Yeah, the mustang really did cut grass.....it's Jesse's favorite build. Gee, can you tell I'm a big JJ fan. I tried to visit with him while up in Cali, but he wasn't at the WCC shop....maybe he was doing Monster Garage that day?

I never saw this episode where they made the snowmobile. I know it was a race, does anyone know who won?

Richard Petty had a snowmobile with 135 hp or so and challenged Jesse to build a snowmobile and race him (in Montana or somewhere). Jesse built one using the MINI Cooper of all things. He took out the engine and added two 135 hp 2-stroke engines on a new chasis he built with tracks, but he kept the wheels and tires on the car. Funny looking when he jacked up the car before the race. Richard Petty won, and it was the first race Jesse had lost they said. It was fun watching the MINI being modified, but he did a lot of cutting on the body, and had to put in a new throttle peddle that was not electronic. They had a guy from MINI help with the engineering, but Jesse just ignored him in the end I think and just started chopping the car, but he did complete it in 6 or 7 days and met his deadline. Rather fun to watch.

Sadly I found out at a planning meeting for the up coming Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix that the Mini Snowmobile has since been disassembeled. Apartently the thing was falling apart after all the mods. We were hoping to have it at the PVGP but the Mini God in the sky had different plans for her.
