That is what is known as a rolling billboard. Advertising on wheels.

Advertisers dont care if they make a vehicle look ugly, as long as it moves product.

Actually there is a little reason behind this madness. Quiznos is a Denver-based company that has been very successful here (hot toasty sandwiches...hence the mmmmm on the side). Quiznos has long bought cars like the Hummer H1 to put signage on and park them in front of their stores, create visibility around town, etc. Given this I expect this is a corporate owned MINI and the newest member of their fleet.

When I was in the UK this summer I spotted several MINIs that had advertisements all over them. One was a photo developing company and the other was Budweiser. The city was Glasgow in Scotland which was very congested and full of buses and pedestrians was perfect for a MINI roving around for businesses and doing advertising.

In my area the local owners of the Midas brake shops have a LY MCS with R90 wheels that sports an oval Midas door logo. Looks nice. I told them to add a UUC exhaust and to carry them at their shops.

I know it's just a car, but they could have picked a better color scheme.

I’ll agree with you there.

Using cars to advertise is popular. With the right graphic treatment... it could look pretty cool. This Quizno car has been poorly done. Too bad.

God speed.

I saw one done up in Colorado State U. colors at our dealer in Denver. It also had some conspicuous Pepsi logos. But it was PS with green and gold flames (for CSU) with the CSU logo on the door. Overall, it looked rather good for that sort of an advertising vehicle. Better than the Quiznos one and definitely much better than the Red Bull MINIs.

Some towns here in CT are not allowed to have signs on the road. I am not sure the official wording of the law but many owners get around it by painting an attention grabbing car with their advertisement. The tatto place has a Hummer and a Beetle. Just a matter of time before a MINI is used.
I also remember seein a story some time ago on TV about a company that would pay you to advertise on your car. Usually the whole car was covered with the ad. From what I remember, they paid close to 400 a month, depending on the car and your mileage.

What's the big deal? I think it looks great! Looks better than if they had used a new Beetle!..... and it definitely looks better than some of the MINI graphic treatments I've seen (i.e., woody decals!)

Hey guys...I actually manage a Quizno's in Plymouth, MN. There are several of those MINI's in the Quizno's fleet...they give them to franchise owners and area directors for a few months at a time as a reward. Actually, the Quizno's MINI is the reason I got my DS/W MCS. I was at the Quizno's convention in Las Vegas in March and they had two of the MINI's there at I fell in love. I had seen one once or twice before but they were werid looking then I saw it up close and sat it it. Ordered one a month later and have been happily motoring ever since August.
