R50/53 Should I buy the Cooper S?
Hi! I'm new to the board.
I've driven the Cooper S twice and absolutely love the car. The problem is that I don't know if I can justify selling my Volvo 850 T5-R and then begin making payments on a much smaller car. I need advice! Have any of you out there switched from much larger performance cars to the Mini? Is it worth it? I think i may miss my 240 hp turbo too much. How many mpg do you typically get? Anything great to say about the S? I am reallyh close to putting an order in, I think I just need that last push.
Thanks,
Justin

Welcome to the site!
I can pretty much assure you that nearly everyone on here will try to push you in the direction of the S. Myself included. I know you would miss the 240HP turbo, but doesn't a supercharger sound nice, too? 163HP is great in a car that is so small and light....
To each their own, but I am a lover of very small cars so the choice for me would be a no-brainer....
But if you test drove it and you know you love it, then I would go for it....
It's SUCH a fun car to have...I am sure you would not have any regrets!
Cheers!
