In the upper left corner of the windshield it says not to use a cell phone in the car - it might interfere with the electrical system. I did not take notice to it in the manual. Anyone have a problem using your cell phone in the car? It also says No Radar Detectors or CBs etc.

Yeah my phone works fine in the Mini. Also the walkie talkie/radios that we use for meets work fine, too.
No problems here!

Though I agree with you about OTHER people not using cell phones while driving, I CAN"T IMAGINE not using mine, seems like that's the only time i do use it!

 

Arggggghhhh.

Check this thread (Cell phone?) or this one (Cell Phone ate my MINI) for totally exhaustive discussions on this issue. Barring that, go find a lawyer and have him/her read your sticker. I think they'll get a kick out of it.

ps -- I had a 2 hour phone meeting yesterday while motoring from NY to MA. Yes I have a hands-free device. And gee, I would LOVE it if I could acurately tell people that my cell phone really didn't work from inside my MINI. But it does...
