R50/53 I just placed order for 04 MC
Black
White roof/mirrors
Premium Package 1
Sports Seats
Sterling, VA.
Dealder said He will have final price little bit later.. ( although change will be very minor if any). Is this normal?
He said it will take about 8 to 10 weeks for delivery. I have seen few posts here mentioning early delivery. Hoping I get it before Xmas.

Hem,
Aloha and welcome to NAM,
Yep, I'd get the price locked in ASAP too.
Congrats on the nice MC. You can look in the member's gallery to find many black MC examples.
Hope you get your baby before Dec 25- I'll cross my fingers for you.

minihune,
Every time I read one of your post I think, "it's not fair that this guy lives in Hawaii and I live in Arkansas".
Oh well, who said life was supposted to be fair.........at least I have my MINI.

Hem,
Did you consider the little MC spoiler. I think it looks good and it's "only" $150. You might also consider the fog lights. They could come in handy AND they give you another all important toggle switch. Remember, you can make changes for a while.
The black and white color is great. I got Chile Red and white but now that I hear you can get an MC in Electric Blue I think that's what I'd want. I think it's only available in Canada for now though.
Hope you get it by Christmas.

Welcome! You want the price locked in NOW, and in writing, or you take your business elsewhere. You should pay MSRP or below, plus sales tax, and registration. Car dealers have funny ways of tacking on extras when the car arrives, and Mini dealers are no different. Mini just had a price increase for the 2004 model, up $24 from 2003. Hurry up December!!
Make sure you get the "out the door" cost - documentation fees, registration of the vehicle (which my dealer insisted they had to do so that it would be insured when I drove it away), any other fees at all. It's way too easy for them to quote you a "final" price, and then take advantage of your excitement when you come to pick it up and the price tag is suddenly $500 higher. And while you're at it, tell them to leave their dealer stickers off of your paint! Good luck!

>>I would say it depends on your relationship with the MA. I didnt get my final price in writing, but the MA and I were on very good terms. I felt very comfortable knowing that I would be paying MSRP.

My MA left the dealership and moved 2,000 miles away during the wait time for my car. His replacement looked for what was in writing, the final price was fortunately in writing. The 1st MA had written "floor mats" on my paperwork and verbally agreed to let me have them free. The 2nd MA said, "it just says floor mats, doesn't say free". I had to threaten to cancel my purchase to get the promised free mats.
Never accept verbal promises, the rate at which car salesman change jobs alone is reason enough.

Thank you. I got price in writing now.
I wanted aux Audio input so that I can connect my MP3 players to car stereo. But dealer asked for 200$ labor for $40 part. I decided not to.
Is there any after-market product available ( e.g FM transmitter) that I can use?

if its and iPod, you can check out the iTrop from Griffin Technology. my friend just bought it and it is really cool and draws its power from the iPod, no batteries.
Is the aux part difficult to install on your own?? maybe its easy enough for a proficient do-it-yourselfer... i would nt know. i dont have a mini.
