You think? Even with the month in the date? I think it might be an increment problem with their date calculation software, and is trying to display 2004/01/20

You'll need to call the 1 866 ASK-MINI what week number you have.
and don't count on it staying what they tell you until your are in status 112. At that point you have a spot in the production schedule and you must be built by the friday of that week in order for the assembly line to stay on it's schedule.

Good luck and enjoy watching the production.
It's quite an expierence!

I think that it means that BMW will build your car on the 51st day of the 12th month...which basically means that it'll be built on Mars (where as we all know each year = 686.98 earth days!).

Or something like that.

2003/12/51??!!

Methinks that the X-mas spiked eggnog hath begun to flow a wee bit early this season.

"The parts falling off this automobile are of the finest British workmanship."

But I shouldn't complain. My MGC was assembled during the week between Christmas 1968 and New Year's 1969. Its almost 35 years old now, and still runs beautifully.

So I shouldn't worry that my car is being built during the time of the year when
most people are having Christmas parties and coming to work hung over the last
two weeks of the year? Great.

Not when coming to work hung over is a normal part of their existence.
