My alternator is dying on my '04 MC...battery light came on today and had it checked at Auto Zone. Apparently, there are 2 versions...105 amp and a 120 amp. With the alt still in the car, I see no identification on the alternator itself. Do I have to tear my car apart and leave it for a few days until my new alt arrives, or is there a way to tell which I have so I can finish the job in one day?

okay, I still have a dilemma. My car was built in 10/03. My alternator looks like the bottom one on realoem.com, but it says that the alt is for cars manufactured after 1/12/04.

I'm confused...

I believe the 105A one is the original Valeo, and the remanufactured
110A Bosch is what they sell after they run out of Valeo units.
You have to buy a new connecting cable also if you get the Bosch.
