jet black blackout

Hey, I've got a Jet Black justacooper and I'm lookin to blackout all the crome and smoke the lights. I was wondering if you guys could point me in the direction of some vinyl i could use or maybe paints, whatever would be good. I can't seem to find any way to black out the chrome ring that surrounds the cabin, any ideas?

I also am trying to get rid of the altezza taillights that came with the car, I want to trade them for the stock ones. I put an ad in the marketplace for them if you'd like to check them out.

Yeah I was kind of pulling a little on the chrome trim around the cabin and noticed it was all clips. At least they aren't screwed on where you'd have to take the interior out if you wanted it off.

i dont mind interior clips, but the headlight rings, grill, etc have tons of plastic on plastic clips.

Ah, yeah I haven't messed with the light rings yet because I want them matte and to match the plastic around the bottom of the car as well. I've heard the plastidip works well. Isn't kind of rubbery though?

you'd never know it was rubber unless you were told.

Plasti dip is the way to go, outmotoring has a black out kit for the exterior trim, or you can just get some heavy duty electrical tape, it works just as well, be careful pulling anything off prob gonna need 3m double sided tape to.

Wouldn't the electrical tape just bubble and become loose after the sun beating down on it all day, cuz that's what my MINI goes through sadly.

i use electrical tape on my beltline... i've done the whole car 3 times since i've had it for 1.5 years. the ends start to peel away from the beltline and i haven't been able to find a full-proof method of doing so. does this happen with the outmotoring beltline kit? good luck!
