as the title says, I have a couple lights that occasionally come on. it is the tire pressure light and the traction control light.. twice now in three days they have both came on at the same time and stayed on.

Both times I have stopped the car and shut it off and restarted and they have went off...

Any ideas as to what is causing this?

Happening when you're just driving along in a straight line? Or when cornering?

If just when driving - then you may have a wheel speed sensor going out - or something else. Would be interesting to have someone scan for codes when the lights are on... depending on how persistent the data is, they may need to do it before you turn the car off - and would probably need a scanner that can see the BMW-specific systems to get anything useful...

 

They come on upon starting the car. I just shut the car off and restart.. The first time they didn't go off so I started to pull away and they went off. the second time they went off instantly after restarting.

I'm not too worried about it unless it becomes a recurring problem.
