I have an '04 MCS with h/k. I just picked up a spare head unit and h/k amp from an '05. Are there any differences in operation between the two head units? Physically the only difference appears to be the ****. TIA.

 

I swapped over to a HU from an '06. The **** is different, and it has the capability to play mp3 cds.

 

HU's starting from 3/05 have additional text display capability. The DICE iPod adapter uses the feature to display artist/title etc.

 

Bummer; this one was manufactured in November 2004.
