Just got my '06 MCS about two weeks ago and it didn't have the trip computer activated. Took it to Crevier Mini today and for $75 they did the coding to get it turned on.. pretty cool.
I also have a slight rough spot in the clutch pedal, they think it may the throwout bearing and I should just deal with it. Car has 37k miles on it.

I know the option was $200 when the car was new... it was $75 or nothing and I wanted the feature; not one of those things I could do myself. Do you have a better idea?

I just personally feel like there is something very wrong with being charged $75 to toggle a setting in an ecu.

 

hey, I'm with ya... I'll tell Crevier Mini that was bad form and that the guys on NAM said so!

 

$75 is a whole lot better than the $200 MINI charged people who spec'd it on their cars.

Many dealers have refused peoples requests to enable that feature. My dealer was very nice & did it for me.
