I got in my car tonight to drive home from work and my low beams didn't work. Everything else works fine. All the fuses look good. Any ideas what this could be? The OEM low beams were switched out for PIAA halogen's... I think their brightest/whitest DOT approved low beam lights. This was done, probably, 8 months ago. Could this have caused something?

 

Silly question, but have you tested them with another bulb yet?

The same thing happened to me with the high beams. I installed Silverstars and about 6 months later they both went out on the same day. I assumed it was a fuse, but the fuse was fine. I ended up replacing both bulbs with the OEM parts and they are fine now.

 

Can be caused by getting finger oil on the bulbs also.

Replace them and make sure you don't touch the glass bulb.
