R50/53 defrosting

someone tell me what the best way to defrsot. say it is 55 degrees out... what should i set the temp to on the defroster to actually defrsot the entire windshield. i never seem to defrsot the top. and it kills me.

I always just put the temp on LO and make sure the AC thingie is lit up--never had a problem with the monsoon-force defroster.

Now, carrying on a conversation while it's running... that's a whole 'nuther issue

two settings to make sure of are that the a/c (snowflake) button is lit, and the recirculate button isnt. Temp can be set just about anywhere you feel comfortable.

To stop the blast of air when you want to direct air at the windshield only, press and HOLD the defrost button until it switches over. You can then control the airflow manually with the fan speed button, recirc and a/c buttons without it dropping out of 'defrost mode' on you.
