OK I have been working on a design for the R53 Molded Gas Cap. When I mold this part straight form the cap itself I'm having air pocket issues so I needed to come up with a solution. The first solution was to at the word Cooper S into it. (As shown on our website.)



Then I came up with some new options but one I'm on the fence about.

So we will carry the Cooper S design since I have already set up the mold for that. The new design doe the OEM look is this and will also be added to the website as the OEM style.


The new design is a lightning Bolt. I thought looked cool but I would like your opinion. So let me know what you think.

 

Cool, definitely different. And here I was thinking everything for the R53 had been thought of.

 

Can i get one of those? Maybe a custom one? That lighting bolt looks sick man....... uhh can i get one?

 

I like the lightening bolt design. Unfortunately mine is a cabrio and uses a door instead.

 

thanks for the input guys. I like the lightning bolt too. I ordered another gas cap so I will offer all three designs.

As for custom I think the three I'm making are going be it. It cost to much in tooling costs to make one off custom ones.
