More stuff going wrong!!!

Ok so my car has not been running for about 3 weeks. I had a serpentine belt break and it was a result of the AC compressor bolts breaking off. Well today I finished the Job and finally was ready to drive my car again.
The car didnt start, so I assumed it was just b.c it had been standing so long. I push started it and all was good! Then I drove it around a bit. No Problems.
Then I leave my house later today, car starts fine. I am driving for around 10 minutes and my gauges go NUTS! It looks like a christmas tree and the Speedo and Tach wont work.
I assume that the battery must be bad. So I buy a new one. CAR WONT START! Push start it. Runs fine, but now has a CEL with codes P1688 and P0500. I dunno if these codes are just from the weirdness from earlier or what. But The car WILL NOT START with even a Jump. Only push start. Engine wont even click...
I did JUST put everything together on the car. I am wondering if the ground wire on the alternator is tight. but would that really affect the start? The car started fine earlier today....starter motor? but what would make it go all od a sudden and why would my gauges go crazy and my battery die.

Is there anyway to get to the alternator w/out taking the entire front end off again.
Any ideas/input would be AMAZING!

Thanks!

Modular front end

Looking at Bentley's manual it doesn't look like you can remove the alternator without pulling the MFE forward. This is due to the three long bolts that attach the alternator to the block. I beleave that you will have the move the MFE forward to remove these bolts, too little clearance between the radiator and the alternator,
