CVT mileage 85,000

My 03 has had no problems, so far, at 85,000 mostly highway miles. Just changed the fluid for the first time, old fluid looked OK, no particles in drain pan.

I changed the oil myself, believe I did more good than harm,
1)got the oil from mini dealer, $83 for 4.5 liters
2)removed fill plug (about 1 inch above drain plug) measured oil that drained from both plugs=4.5 liter
3)used air conditioning oil pump to pump oil into fill plug, and quickly installed plug as oil ran out
4)did not do anything else

Have been driving for two weeks, all OK, better to change oil improperly than not at all, I guess.

Thanks to forum posters who posted the factory procedure, which I read before proceeding with my method.
