R50/53 just about to place order need help
okay..all your help has been enlightening...i have decided to forgo the sport package stick with the stock 16" wheels and change to leatherette. Will order aftermarket wheels and tires..any suggestions for 17" or 18" combo's?? also do the stock 16" all seasons work well in snow?
What is everyones take on the DSC? worth it or not? since i would have to add ala carte without sports package.
2ND GEAR: very interested in your rack config., rack attack is very close to me ( they are one of my bike club's sponsors). are you saying they did not modify the mini rack but install a complete new one? did you get a fairing?? i carry mostly road bikes without the front tire (fork mount gutters), i like the way the bike is supported with the fork mount versus the clamp around the frame with both tires on config.
leave the gun, take the cannolis...

The Factory rack is stronger but they drill into the roof of the car! Evil! The rack I have is a Yakima rack which has a flat clip in a utility sill which runs on the edge of the roof on both sides of the car. The rocky mount fork mounts were only $40 each where Yakima and Thule can run as much as $90 a piece. The Fork mounts are the most stable bike carriers. I've had no problems driving 80 miles per hours with two bikes on the car.
Also, they recommend that the weight limit on the rack is 70 lbs. That would carry three higher end road bikes. you can also get a small cage to attach to the rack.
hope this helps!
