R50/53 ABS, DSC & tire pressure light???
ABS, DSC & tire pressure light???
I know this topic has been covered and I have read everything I can find on it but I'm still confused on the matter. After installing a set of coil overs, a new sway bar and rear control arms on my MCS the ABS, DSC and Tire pressure lights all came on. As stated in the various post on this site and others it seemed to be a comon problem with the wheel speed sensors. I found out that the rear right sensor controled the speedometer so I switched the two rear sensors and the speedometer worked with either one in place so I came to the conclussion that it was one of the front sensors. I ordered two new front sensors and instaled them. The ABS light has now gone off but the DSC and Tire Pressure lights are still on. I have tried to reset the Tire Pressure light with the reset button below the handbrake to no avail. I have also resest the DSC by removing the fuse starting up the car then turning it off and reinsertingf it also to no avail. I have also tried to reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for 30 minute and this didn't work either. Any ideas?

Sorry I can't help you, but this type of thing got me to trade my 03 MCS for an 06 MCS; way too may electrical bugs.
The 06 is great, only a bad gas gauge and a leaking sunroof. Huge improvement!
Good luck.

It could be the ABS (?) control unit. When I had a sensor replaced, they first had to confirm that it was only the sensor and not something further up the chain of command (which I think was the ABS control unit).

You need to air up your tires, and turn your tractional control off............. amateurs.
HAHAHA, just messing i have no idea. I have the same problem with my seat belt light, i just cant get it to go off, the only time it does go off is when i have my seatbelt on, whats up with that.

I read your post assuming you have a manual transmission, but if you have an automatic that combination of error codes might actually be indicting your transmission. Some transmission faults will cause error codes in anything that measures or depends on the rotation speed of the driven wheels (all the systems you identified). The transmission ECU will effectively order those systems to shut off (you see the lights) in order to minimize damage to the transmission.
Of course, if you're the sort who's doing suspension mods you probably have a manual transmission. . . .
