Aftermarket stereo squeak?

I have an after market stereo in my Mini, and have noticed lately that it's squeaking constantly when Im driving. For awhile it was intermittent, now its constant, and its driving me nutty. I've noticed that if I push on the face, it stops, but starts up again as soon as I let it go, so it seems like its just a function of it not being snug enough in the housing.
Has anybody else had this problem? I'm hoping its a simple issue of just tightening some screws. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Take it out and put Durapore tape on the contact surfaces, then reinstall.

Good call on the Durapore tape, although you may want to use it on the stereo's mounting sleeve, rather than on the head unit itself.

Most aftermarket stereos are installed by sliding a metal sleeve into the dash opening and fastening it in place with bend-out tabs. The head unit then slides in to the sleeve and latches into place. When you slide the head unit out of the sleeve, make sure that the sleeve isn't loose in the dash.

It may be that you need to use more of the tabs than the original installer did, or bend them a little bit further so that the sleeve is tight in the dash opening. Since it's the mounting sleeve that's actually in contact with the car's dash, that's where I'd look for squeaks.
