The best advice I can give you is find out the diameter of the actual tire.I am runing 225/50/16 on a 7 inch wheel, tires are reo1r's and are close to a 235 in many other brands.I had some rubbing and had to remove some material.I am also lowered.I think you should be fine with a 45 side wall.Also it will be easier and probably cheaper to run a 16x7 wheel, and you should be safe with a 40mm offset.Any ? let me know

225/45/16 Toyo T1R on 42 offset 16x7 rota slipstreams, lowered with Bilstein PSS9's.
autox'd several times on this setup no rubbing in daily driving... once in a while on full compression in a banked turn i'll knock the rear wheel arch loose, not off, just loose. I have noticed rubbing the liners at full lock.
