Is that you in the picture in your gallery? If so, you very much belong in the "Gorgeous Girls in MINIs" thread.

So sorry to hear about your accident, but glad to know you seem okay. Best of luck with sorting out all of the insurance and getting a new car. I hope your aches and pains are nothing serious.

Best wishes.

Dean.

i want to thank everyone for their advice and comments! & i have some good news ... my mini still might come back ... to my knowledge, and to a few others, we thought the mini would be totaled...but she might be saved =] i will know for sure in 2 days, and pictures of my sad mini will be up probably in a day or so!

& yes that is a picture of me in my gallery!

yes my mini saved my life and i am very grateful for that, she is my baby, if all goes well and she is fixed up, i am more than likely going to get an S since mine is automatic and non-s ... too boring for me!

Why would you assume that anyone would want an M3, or anything else besides a Mini? If mine was totaled, I would probably no longer be a Mini driver, because mine can't be replaced. But that doesn't mean I'd want a BMW.

I don't know...I think when she mentioned another car, first "another" car that popped in my mind is a M3...and my eyes blurr by anything that resembles the words Honda.

I'm just telling her to get what she deserves, PT with the back and neck pain and all. Geez, if I offended anyone by saying that one sentence, I'll delete it.

BTW, how do you know my name...

in all honesty i love honda because they are very reliable cars ... i will never own a bmw ... although the mini is bmw , but it is made in a totally different way .... i cant even count how many bmw's, mercedes, range rovers, etc .... have headlights out - tail lights out ... little annoying problems that are a pain in the rear, which for me would drive me up the wall!!!! , especially if you are a busy person, you pay all this money for those cars and you get that crap that you really dont have the time for and are a waste of your time...i pass on that!!!!!, TIME IS PRECIOUS! honda/acura on the other hand ..... i have never seen one, or ever had any problems with it .... unless its a model from a decade or more ago, but that is understandable ... i have nothing against any of those cars this is just my opinion so i hope to not offend anyone ...

Yep, that was a pretty hard impact. Might have some unibody structural damage on that driver's side, front.

The initial estimate might not come back as a Total Loss. But then when they start the teardown process to do the work, they might find additional damage that would push it over the threshold to be considered a Total.

Again, whether it's repairable or a total, hope the claim process is smooth for you.

Holy Cow...you look great in that reflection picture holding your books!

But seriously, ouch. Getting hit in the front is always the worst part.

The dude in the Audi drove reckless and hit him and then decides to run to take off "see ya", no paying for "real damages" done to others to a MINI...ouch.....HIT AND RUN....cheez could of been fatal, I don't see how anyone would not want to take this dude and his ins. company to the cleaners???

one again guys i am a female, not a he or him or his! thanks

in my opinion i would say it was totaled because .. the car will never drive the same and it wont be the same & thats a fact ... but i guess that answer still lies ahead when they get to the inside

Agreed. Glad you are okay. Could have been so much worse. Cars are replaceable, parts and people are not!

Agreed again. Surgery should be reserved for refractory conditions and specific diagnosis.

All true. Your out of pocket can be severe. Your auto insurance should help you out but it should be the at fault driver's insurance that ultimately foots the bill, as long as you are not in a no--fault state.

As a western trained MD I am very biased against Chiroractors as you can tell. Just my experience and that of many patients. The good news is if you decide to go this route, many traditional insurance companies will now cover part or all of your visits with one...

You should get what you're owed. Not more... which is what you are insinuating.

Everyone here should be angry with you because of that insinuation because it's that kind of attitude that costs us ALL money every time we make an insurance premium payment.
