R50/53 Is the unichip worth getting???

Is the unichip worth getting???

hey i have cai, 15% pulley and cat back exhaust, i am looking into buying the unichip q . i am just looking for some feedback on how much of a difference it makes. is it wortht the money. i would appreciate as much feedback as possible....thanks

Depending on where you live you might want to look around into a custom tune instead of spending the money for a UniChip unit. I'm saving up my money for a tune....from what I've read on the boards....if it's performance you want get a custom jobber. The UniChip will give gains, but not as much as a custom simply because all engines are different....and the performance parts you use/add could change things with the UniChip.

Even a "canned" tune would be a better and much more reliable alternative to the Unichip. There are just too many connectors, and too much modification of inputs to the computer, and not enough things that the Unichip can control externally.

The Unichip would be at the bottom of the list of alternatives.

Try Helix or Mini-Madness for a canned tune, or go to a wizard who can do a custom tune.

Rick....are the "canned" tunes easier to adjust for the mods that we put on our cars? Or still just as tough as the UniChip? Haven't really had too much orientation with any of them...
