My Sales Manager parked a Astro Black Clubman S next to my desk trying to get me to buy it rather then look for a 2005 Jet Black S. It is pretty cool, but I really want to hear the Supercharger whine agin! Ohh yea and look what has been on my shoulder for four years.

I need to be driving another 05 MINI COOPER S in Jet Black!

 

I'd love to have a black MCS... anyone need a Pepper White MCS??? hehe

Thanks for the compliments guys! It is a Hubie Fuh designed and installed turbo system. I did the bottom end and the clutch work...there is an old thread around here somewhere about it....Have 15k on the turbo with zero problems....clutch finally is giving out this winter so it will be replaced....otherwise it is running great.

Puts down high 200's whp on 20lbs of boost and pump gas, With 28-30lbs of boost and race gas well into the 350-370 range.....too much fun....

HaHaHa Its one of those things.... My brother in law and I always said that we would get Tattooed together sometime when he came to town. SIGH He came to town and I had to Man up, it was a moment in time. My wife made me promise that I would never get anouther, my Brother in Law has many more!

 

I love the look of a flat black mini. I've seen a few of them before and they look HOT. I'd worry about people seeing me though, there are lots of SUV's around these parts.

 

OMG thats sad your wife doesnt like tattoos. on my end my entire body is covered with tats and my gf plans to do the same to hers. well at least you have 1 ! thats a start.

And then got fever for a second one before the R53 was discontinued... and they had long since stopped doing Jet Black by the time we ordered the second MINI in late Sept of 06. So we went with red.





I like the new Midnight black much more than astro. If we ever buy a new R56, perhaps that will be the color of choice.

 

This is sort of how it will look at my house! When I find it mine will be black, and our Clubman is Red with a Black top! Sure will be nice to have two in the Garage!

 

I 'built' my '05 MCS and could not choose a color because I disliked them all.

So I settled for black.

I like how it looks when it's just been detailed, but black is a bear to maintain. It's a dirt magnet. It shows every spec of road crap it picks up. I can handle the swirls up to about 3 feet away, but they're never completely gone no matter how hard I try.

Never again.

I absolutely LOVE Nightfire Red which came out in '06, but it was not available on MCS. If it was I would have bitten the bullet ($$$) and traded my '05 in.

I had one as a loner this week, and all day I kept looking out the window at it in my driveway.
