I hit the lock and unlock button on my key fab, all doors and gas cap get unlocked except driver door, i have to lock that by putting the key in the door and turning it. Im wondering if its a common problem, its an 03 so i have no warranty, wondering if there is a solution, or if anyone knows what do tell me to do before i take the door panel off and start poking around

Your prob. gonna need a door lock actuator. I've seen several fail. Give me a call and I'll fix you up.

This happened to my wife's car once, and it was just a matter of taking off the door panel and snapping the lock back into place. I'd definitely take a look inside the door before ordering a new lock actuator.

 

Sorry but his problem is electric the door won't unlock, your problem was the door wouldn't open from the inside handle is my guess. Because when the cable pops off the actuator the door will work fine from the remote/switch and from the exterior but won't open from the inside.
I have seen the outside door handle cable be an issue too. But when that happens the door just won't work from the outside.

Same situation with mine. I just put up with it. Then a month ago after a year like that, all of a sudden the driver door started to lock and unlock by remote. Then after 2 weeks of bliss, it's back to manual locking/unlocking again.

 

Oh I'm sorry, were you there? I didn't think so. The drivers side door on my 2003 would only unlock with the key in the door, but not the remote. Sounds like a pretty similar situation to me.

Maybe if you weren't trying so hard to sell something, you could see that there are other possibilities.
