Welocome to N.A.M. FDNY,

I don't know if this helps or not, but I have had similar issues, but what I've found is that there is a long "wait" period between pushing the button. If I'm impatient, it won't register. If I wait a little longer and depress the button intentionally hard, it registers. Sometime, inteterestingly enough, it quickly jumps ahead.

I agree with others on this forum, it's not a great NAV system and if I had the capability, I would change it out, but I've heard the wiring harness for the speedo vs NAV is nearly a new dash/ cluster.

Our 2000 MB NAV works sooooo much better.

Does your DVD start running when you open the passenger side door? My runs and I can't think that that is good on the battery life.

BTW, take your caps lock off; looks like you're yelling.
