Right on OmToast. The software issue is ridiculous. IMHO I don't think we'll see real good, experienced service repairmen (and advisers?) out there at dealerships for another year or two.

ON a separate thread I wrote about my fruitless 170 mile round-trip drive to the dealership to get my tire pressure sensor light reset, but another thing that ticked me off is that when I requested to have the window comfort feature programmed into my remote they first said OK, then after a 1 1/2 hour wait, they said that for MCs built between Feb 02 and Sept 02, it is not possible to do this. There is no mechanical provision for that feature within those time frames. They even showed me the printout that said so. I asked if I could have the printout, and the sales manager was reluctant to part with it. A PR issue? Aaaaaarrrghh!

Well, it's been relative trouble free, until today. Not that I can't drive it normally, just no feedback on the tire pressure, since it has been temporarily deactivated, until my switch is backordered.
