'02 MC approaching 50k. What BELTS should I replace?
Hello. I'm looking to do standard maintenance on my 2002 Mini Cooper. I've started to hear squealing coming from the engine a couple of months ago and now think it's time to replace all belts. What belts are in my MC and should I replace all? Thanks.
There's only one belt - a short serpentine belt that drives the accessories. You shoulld also consider replacing the tensioner and idler (if the MC has one?) as these are often the source of the actual squealing when their bearings are shot. Nonetheless the belt should be replaced as well.

Thanks for the replies. So is the V-belt shown on realoem.com the same as the serpentine belt? Do you know the cost of an OEM serpentine belt, tensioner, and idler?
