CEL this morning...
So on the way to work this morning my 06' threw a Service Engine Soon light. Ive only had the car for three months so i'm not sure if this is a common problem or not. My last car was an old Miata that I always fixed myself so i'm not familiar with newer electronic systems.
First, I checked the gas cap and everything in on tight. I installed an Invidia exhaust a few weeks ago and i'm wondering if it has anything to do with that. I'm also due for an oil change very soon. Will it go away once the computer addapts to the new exhuast? Ive had it installed for about 500 or so miles. How long does it usually take?
Thanks for your help,

There are many reasons the car would throw an SES light. Best thing to do is get the code read somewhere, ie autozone, they do it for free, so you can see what the code is. Or you can buy a code reader so you'll always have one for just such an occasion.
