I would like to start a rumor ...
I've noticed that since acquiring my MCS I have not encountered any animals on the back roads I travel (except for the odd squirrel - but, then again they're odd).
My theory is that the supercharger puts out a high frequency whine, that only savage beasts can hear. This ultrasonic signal gives them enough time to get off the road.
Has anyone had a run in with a wild animal? If not, I rest my case.

I live in Maine, and it's a state known for lots of moose, and deer... I too haven't seen a single wild animal in my mini! Maybe i'm just going too fast, and not seeing them

If you're into entemology, get a yellow mini. Even in the city we constantly have bugs splatting into us. We've been told that bugs see yellow easily and think "He cool, a really big flower coming towards me at 70mph!" just before the bits that do the thinking are splattered over our windscreen.

One other rather strange thing we've noticed while driving in the countryside north of London. There were quite a few buns and bits of bread in the centre of the road, almost every day. Returning on the same road each day, there would be various amounts of roadkill with crows pecking at it. It was only when we saw a crow hopping across to the middle of the road with a large piece of bread and leaving it there we realised what was going on. The sneaky buggers were putting the bread there as bait to get small mammals run over so that they could eat them!

This morning I almost hit a young pigeon, it just would move from the road. Maybe not mature enough.
The only critters my Mini attracts is when in a parking lot and I am not around. The critters leave lots of prints on my car. I suspect children are the culprit.

I think it will be a very good ice-breaker and that's usually the part we never get past, right? But, I'm married, so I'll point any I meet your way
