I am on the madame butterfly as well. I have tried to find her on the water, but have been unable to do so. Looking forward to seeing "Bridgit" in person!

Wallenius & Wilhelmsen are not very good corporate citizens.

The Madame Butterfly is now 6 days into her 8 day voyage to New York and has not once reported local weather conditions.

I’m certain that the voyage will end uneventfully but it would have been fun to track it.

Hello,
I'm scheduled for the Undine leaving Southampton this week and arriving in Charlston on the 30th. I hope you guys have room for one more in your club.

My PW/B Cooper is scheduled on the Undine as well. I wonder if they will drop the little guy off in New York or Charleston for the trip to Cincinnati. Seems about the same distance either way...

The Wallenius & Wilhelsen Cargo Tracking page will tell you the Port of Destination.

At least this is where the shipper plans to drop it off.

The tracking page says that the Undine is going to both New York and Charleston. I have enjoyed tracking it, but I think it makes the waiting worse...

The ship will go to both ports but when you track your car with your VIN the Port of Destination shown on that page is where they plan to unload your car.

>>, i guess the next step is a boat ride across the pond, and some final 'Americanizing', before delivery.
>>Does anyone have an idea how long this will take?

Raider: Just saw at the shipping line site that my car was loaded aboard a ship in Southampton on Wed. 11/19 and is scheduled to offload some MINIs in New York on 11/28 and then offload the remaining MINIs in Charleston, SC on 11/30. So the crossing from Southampton to New York takes nine days. My MA says from Charleston to my dealership in San Antonio, it's usuall between ten days and two weeks after offloading that a car shows up.

So, overall, after your car is loaded on a ship, the car should arrive about 3/4 weeks later == unless you are on the west coast in which case you can figure on another 2/3 weeks beyond that !

When I ordered my car the MA told me it would be sometime during early to mid-January before I'd see it. But now it looks the dealer will have it by mid-December. Santa is being VERY good to me this year !

I haven't posted to a "Can't Wait For . . . Club" yet but guess I belong in December's now, instead of January's.

The wait is finally over! 11 months and 17 days. MINI is finally home. I'm getting Clear Armor installed here at the house tomorrow morning. Almost made it into the December Club, glad I didn't.

Well I think we are going to be in the December club now. Ours just landed on the 20th. By the time it gets to the dealer and has the JCW / areo kit installed it will be December.

Ahh, thank you benpeirce. I appreciate the insight.
So my baby could possibly be here in as little as 3 weeks... I guess I should start cleaning out the garage...

Thanks again.

I'm on the Undine too - This is a replacement MINI for my '03 that BMW couldn't fix and is identical to the older one except that I also ordered the auto mirror/wipers - IB/W, 3 packages, 6CD, White Wheels, Anthracite trim, Stripes, and the dealer is putting on the chrome MCS grill since I had that on the first one. I have been without my MINI since August and need a backroad fix! - Not too bad though I bought a 2003 and got to use it for 9 months and ended up with a 2004 MINI.

For those of us with cars on the Madame Butterfly, the cars delivered to New York (11/21/03) are now at the Distribution Center. WooHoo!

Now I will have to get busy selling my wife's 1995 Volvo 850GLT Wagon.

Check your orders through the Owner's Lounge... I checked when it first appeared... haven't check for a few weeks... the HK no longer shows on my order! Surely its not dealer installed?

Owners Lounge says that our Mini's estimated delivery is (was?) 11/26/03 but the dealer says he has no firm date for when it will be delivered. He estimates next week (beginning 12/1) sometime. Amazing how well you can track your car until it gets to the States.

Our MCS arrived at the dealer on the 24th. It is at the body getting the aero kit installed and should have JCW upgrade installed mid week. We should take delivery on 12/06. The wife is very excited.

Neal,

Did your MCS come over on the Madame Butterfly? If it did you received some serious preferential treatment by getting it delivered to the dealer by the 24th. Must be all the extra $$$ you are spending at the dealer. I'm extremely jealous!

My mini is on the Undine heading to Charleston and I just checked the OL on miniusa.com. I still have the HK in my order details.
