Gorgeous car! I am also very partial to Chili Red! My '05 MCS is currently at 41K and plan to keep it well north of 130K miles! Not a single dent, ding or scratch in 3 years of ownership. I am also a member of the OCD club!

These detail modifications I am very partial to. Did you buy them as aftermarket bits? (If so, where? )

If not, I'm assuming you painted them yourself? What do you have to do to turn chrome into flat black?

I blacked out everything myself, by sanding first and then applying black spray paint. I used a glossy black for the paint, but it up to u!

Sanding! How much did you have to sand it down? Till all the chrome was gone? What about grain size? And did you prime it before applying the black paint? Sorry for all the questions, this is going to be sweet!

I did not sand it much. Just the score the surfce. I did not primmer it, but that does sound like a good idea! I used a fine grain size to smooth things out. Make sure you apply about 3 coats. Hope that helps!

Great looking 03 MC. We have an 03 MC also. Took delivery 03/01/03.
No where close to the milage on yours. Things we have done to ours is
replaced the Battery & put on 4 New Tires. Have had the Cooling & Brakes
systems flushed twice since purchase & replaced the Cabin filter. Last week i replaced the vent grilles because the Mesh rotted away. We love the Car.

03 MC. PW/B. Pkg #1,DSC,CVT, Spoiler , Center Armrest.
