What really makes me mad is the guys who are ignorant about the capability of the mini
i have a friend who drives a 03 honda accord, and he thinks his car would spank my 06 mcs, with a few mods here and there

im thinking about getting a carbon fiber bonnet just to "decuteify" my car

I've had girls call my car cute before, and I just think to myself "If the hard whine of the supercharger and the throaty exhaust growl is cute...then what would you consider mean?!"...And I second the window sticker!

Over the years, I've realized that there's a certain "segment of society" whose general opinion is that "if a vehicle doesn't have an 8" lift kit and knobby tires, it might as well be pink..."

Like you, I've learned to ignore them.

All this talk of 20 year olds validating your car choice makes me wonder...

When I blacked out the grill, and put on black wheels, I told a buddy that it made it look "less cute". His smartass response: "You're right. Now it looks absolutely darling."

UGGGGGG. Again, the "Don't call my car cute whining." It reminds me of my 12 year old step duahgter and her friends whining about each other making fun of their clothes. As far as I'm concerned, if a 20 something year old woman is paying attention to me, I'm happy. And having a Mini sure hasn't cut down on my happiness. (Well, except when I think about its build (un)quality and dealer (lack of) customer care, but that's another issues).

People call my car "cute" all the time. I'd buy that shirt, too, but it sort of looks like an R56 to me. That's not to start the debate - it's just to say that I don't own an R56, so I don't want a shirt with one on it. When I had an E30, I didn't buy shirts with E36s on them.

Am I just looking at it wrong?

mb

Edit - and Aaron - no, I don't think your car is cute. I think it's one of the best looking R56s I've seen. Very nice!

I'd PAY a 20-something girl a dollar just to talk to me.

I've had my share of the cute comments. I was bombarded with them by co-workers when I first got mine. I let it go for a while, but it quickly got old and I put a stop to it. I'm not a little dude, and I made it clear that I wouldn't tolerate it anymore. I don't too much care what females say about it, most just say "I loooooove your car!". It's the guys that think it's funny to call my car cute. For anyone that doesn't know me that's stupid enough to walk up to me and drop a cute line, my standard reply is "There's nothing about my appearance that suggests that it's ok for you to come up to me and make a statement like that." Works for me.
