Your car is soooooo cute! GRRRRR!!!!!
Like every proud owner of a MINI - I like when people swoon over her but the "cute" comment is getting to me.
I usually follow up with a 10 minutes of detailed technical explanation of why, while she is indeed cute, there is so much more that endears her to my heart.
My best come back so far: Yes, but don't let her fool you - her engine is x-rated...

I just don't care if they call the car cute, because, well it is. Gotta be honest. Not many cars can be considered cute. Aztek anyone?
I remember once watching a PBS show with classic cars filling the screen and looking at my roomate and stating "those cars have nicer curves then some of the women we know." Sexist statement sure, but it's fun to say sometimes when you see a real nice car.

A few weeks back at my morning coffee stop an elderly couple were looking at my car when i came out and the lady commented on how cute it was. Her husband said," Cute Hell, it's mean looking"!! He was a "Car Guy"!!

I get it alot around the town I live in, just because you very rarely see a MINI being a military town where all the guys drive big trucks or muscle cars. I had a lady the other day say "I love your car! It's so cute! And the wheels are too cute!" Then she went on to tell me that the speedo would confuse her..blah blah blah....

A. Glomp ( A glomp is often preadatory and lies somewhere in the grey area between a caring embrace, and a flying leap to tackle someone.)
B. Give them a big hug and kiss
C. Keep for a pet
D. Go with/marry (refering to my friends that always tell me if I love my car so much why don't I marry it)
What can I say, I love MINIs and there very cute/sexy/sassy/sporty . . .

I don't get why anyone would be upset by someone calling their car cute. No need to be insecure. I have had many people use that term to describe Myst. Interestingly, my 12 year old daughter never once used that term to descibe the Mini. She loves it and every time she introduces it to one of her friends, she has to point out everything that is round on it, which she seems to find amusing. It reminds me of Bubba in Forrest Gump listing all the ways to prepare shrimp. I'm not sure her friends are that interested.
