The guys at the office are thinking about starting a betting pool to see when I'll have an accident or receive my first ticket in the MCS.

I'll bet on the 8 ball in the corner pocket.

 

My wife and I have the same bet as to who will get the next ticket. She has had only one ticket in her entire driving career, I have lost count of the number I have received. I even lost my license due to points as a juvenile. She gets stopped and gets a warning; I get stopped and get written up. I use a Valentine 1 radar detector and have just finished reading “A Speeders Guide to Avoiding Tickets”, she doesn’t use a radar detector and thought the book was a dumb idea. My instincts tell me I will most likely lose this bet.

To be honest, they talked about the same betting pool when I started riding motorcycles again 3 years ago. Since then, no accidents or tickets.

Prior to the MCS, I drove old and slow LR's... with heavy bumpers... and was involved in quite a few fender benders and one major accident where a Toyota turned left in front of me. Therefore, I have somewhat of an undeserved reputation. I haven't had a ticket or an accident that I was responsible for in many, many, many years but my friends don't realize that and just love to give me a hard time! It's all in good fun in a wacked sort of way.
