R50/53 Post your production times and codes here (share the knowled
Right now, my car is scheduled for a June 21 build date and is currently "on order" - I am trying to find out the typical timing for each production status that people have been experiencing. How long did it take for your Mini to come off "on order"?
Here are the codes I have seen so far are as follows:
Status 150 - parts pulled, getting ready for prod.
Status 151 - Body shop prep
Status 152 - painting
Status 155 - Mini is being built
Status 153 - assembly of Mini
Status 160 - Cleared QC and released distribution
Status 182 - Waiting for train transport
Status 190 - On train to transports facility
Status 193 - In port with a ship assigned
You can find out your status by calling Mini directly at 866-275-6464.
Anyone else?

I gave my deposit around May 7. Got in the May production slot, with delivery projected by late June. On 5/24, the Owner's Lounge showed my car complete and tested, and waiting to get on a ship. Can't wait...

Hmmm. My mini was scheduled for production 6/7. When I checked on 6/7, it was "Awaiting Transport." So either the mini factory is very fast, or there's some kind of bug in their tracking software!
Does anyone know what the trans-atlantic shipping schedules/times are? I assume the minis are batched out, so maybe they depart 6/15?

my mini was schedueled to be built on June 14th, but it ended up being the 12th! Now it's awaiting transport... I'm going to call the number you posted though!

Well, nobody knows for sure.... First, you need to wait for a ship once your Mini is built. Then the voyage takes from 12-15 days, depending on weather! Then it goes to the dist. center in New Jersey where everything is checked. After that it gets on a big truck, and is driven over to Utah, to your dealer where he cleans it, and calls you... This whole process takes somewhere around 3-4 weeks.

I know these things... looking for someone who is also taken possession of a MINI on the West coast. Anybody out there?? Anybody??
Since I'm on the west coast... the MINI will actually be delivered to Cali and not Jersey... from Cali it will be trucked to UTAH. So actually I'm thinking the boat ride will be much longer. Right now the average boat ride to Jersey is actually 10 days... just can't find anyone with ride times to the west coast. Anybody??

Sorry - the codes I sourced you will need to call MINI USA and ask where your car is in production. IN the Owners Lounger it will stay at "Production" and then "Awaiting Transport".
From what I have seen for 2 months now, after your car is built, it will take 4-6 weeks to have it shipped and arrive at your dealer - if you are on west coast - it will take a week or 2 longer for transport.
Anyone with a June 21 production date (like me) - *should* see your car end of July or early August (east coast only).

HighAnxiety,
My MINI was put on a ship on May 9 and didn't arrive in Port Hueneme, CA until June 5- that's 4 weeks in transit to the West Coast. From there it goes to the Distribution center in Oxnard and stays for about 3-7 days. Then it gets on a truck with a bunch of other MINIs and they drop them off as they get to the dealerships. So being in Utah, it might be a week from the time it leaves the distribution center before it arrives at the dealer. If you keep calling the 1-866 number to find out the status of your MINI, you can know when it arrives before the dealership does and then get on them about prepping it quick! That's what I did. Good luck and Enjoy!

Yea, my production date is set for June 28th and my dealer is saying last week in July to first week in August. But just last week he told me that it might be pushed back to do shortage of Xenon headlights, bummer. Of course two days after he said that the car went from "on order" ot "scheduled for production", the wait is killing me.
This is old news, but worth posting here -
Go here: http://www.wlna.com/
Click on Global Web Site at top right (or just go here: http://www.2wglobal.com/Global/Root.jsp)
Click on cargo tracking on far left.
Click on "Auto" - then enter the last 7 digits of your VIN and hit enter.
From there you will see when the boat will arrive with your car on the east coast.
This system is not linked to Mini USA, but an extension of the shipping dates, etc.
My car/boat arrives on 7/10 in SC with a 6/21 build date (was actually built on 6/18)
Cool stuff.

>>Well mine went to code 150 on 6/18 and went to code 152 today (6/25), on to assembly. The wait is killing me but I love being able to follow my new baby along.
Well my baby was loaded up on the ship on 6/29 and (thanks to blue potato) the ship shows a delivery date to the states of 7/10, so hopefully a week after that I will have my Mini S!!!! It's been a 4 month wait but I think it will be worth it!

Awesome! Thanks a lot for the tracking website. According to miniusa.com my mini is awaiting transport, but according to the shipping log its been an route to Charleston since 6/24, arriving on 7/08. Can't wait!
Keep in mind that Mini and most of your Mini reps do not know about this tracking page by WW. I called my guy yesterday and he said that "it should be on water by now" and that his system shows it as taking transport.
Little did he know of the power of the net!

Do you have a production number?
If you do, you should be able to keep track of the car from the MINI Owner's Lounge section of the website. I pressume that once the car is built and shipped over to your selling dealer, you should be able to obtain its VIN number.
Call the dealer and get on their case. If the car is already built and on its way, I don't see why they would not let you have the VIN information.
Ask to talk to the sales/dealer manager if you have to.
