I just got a present in the mail today - from MINI.
A motoring kit, with a journal, cool pen, signs to hold up etc.
What a treat!

 

awesome! Was it for any particular reason?? (birthday??) or did they just send it to you because you bought/are buying a mini from them?

 

I assume since I bought the car (have had since Jul 6). No special reason, unless I am special.

Mazda didn't send me a thing when I bought my new Miata.
All I keep getting are surveys, surveys, surveys and with ONE BUCK enclosed!

 

Got the gift, too. Nice touch. Subaru periodically sends out a newsletter
with location stories about the Outback. Be a good idea if MINI did some-
thing like that. It would likely be a lot cooler!

what is it.... like a thank you gift they send after owning your mini for a certain period of time???

 

I got the Motoring Kit about a month ago...so maybe its like after one to two months of Mini ownership. It was really cute though.

The kit is supposed to go out to all new MINI owners around the six-week point after purchase. It's a lot of fun, and certainly unique among new car companies!

I think it goes a long way to carry on the spirit of fun even after the newness may start to wear off. As for me, I've had my MINI for over 3 months, and it's still as fun as the first day I brought it home!

Got mine as well. What will you put in your journal? So far, I've decided to log in the date and location of a MINI sighting. So far in 2.5 months, I've seen only three. I'm considering logging in the amount of times I'm asked certain questions regarding my MINI but I'd fill the book up in a hurry.

 

I got mine today! I love the idea... I've already put an entry into the log book! :smile:

 

I believe they send the package with the roadside asistance card. Anyway, has anyone tried to use any of the messages? I am still trying to get the nerve to try the "Hey Sexy" message.

Hey, I finally got my gift package, very cool!

 

Way Cool, I'm just hitting 600 miles and it'd soooooooooo hard. just keep saying to be nice..... Anyway can't wait treats in the mail and a totally cool car. I'm really loving this and really pity the folks that just don't get it.

 

I have a trip this weekend so will use my gift.
The one thing I appreciate about the gift, it is not very expensive, since it is included in the price we pay - not a rip off item, just fun things.

Not sure about the journal yet. I have a notebook that I am writing my mileage for each gas tank. I think I will go back to write down where I have motored since I got the car, other than work and regular errands.
Spotting Minis is a good idea too. I have thought about the license too, so I will know if I see the same one again.
