Ordered begining of july...still shows on order. I was told it would be an 03..now I am wondering. If it doesn't get built in aug it will be an 04 right???

 

I ordered my mini in May. my production # given to me a few weeks ago. mine shows on order also. but if you look at your car's spec it will also show projected production date which for me is august 8. this is the date that the car is projected to be finished. from what I have read it takes about a week from start to finish. so for me I probably won't see a Scheduled for production until the very end of this month.

 

I can’t speak for the production facilities in England, but BMW does not produce any cars in Germany for the month of August as that is the month that they close the factory for re-tooling for the next model year and all the production workers have the month off for “holiday”. I would imagine it is a similar schedule for MINI however.

 

Is the production date the estimated date of completion or is it the actual build date? I was lead to believe I would receive my MCS in October, not September, and I have a production date of 9/5/2003. Anyone have some thoughts on this?

 

It means the car should be produced the week of September 5. My production date was March 14 but the car was actually produced on March 11. The production date is always a Friday, so look for you MINI to be produced during that week.
