I still haven't seen any pictures yet of the new OEM vent covers. Can anyone confirm that there has been a redesign and/or does anybody have pix?

Yes its they have a new airvents in the front its all tough plastic now and not the cheap foam... once the foam breaks on mine i;m going to change them to the new pastic ones... i think it started on the maybuilds along with the suspension. it was on my friends may build MCS.

Chad123 u get the pics up?

I've got a May build...I guess they built mine the week before they started dropping the new vents in. What a bizarre company this is--mine has the new steering wheel and cool pedals...then they decide to change the vents the next week...what next?

No. Still haven't seen any Chad123 pix yet...

ALSO: Has anyone installed those hood vents yet--the ones from cc-b for the MINI One? I'd really like to see them. Really.

I was assuming these would be replaced as part of regular maintenance... picked up my Cooper today (from 1st maintenance) and was surprised to see the still hanging, rotten foam.
It is not surprising they changed the fresh air intake design, since our original ones did not even hold up a year!

Any advice on where to purchase aftermarket replacement pieces?

amagnetta-

Mine were replaced under warranty on my Cooper last year after the foam fell apart. You should talk to your service advisor about that.

For aftermarket...the only thing I can think of (that I've actually done) is purchase aluminum inserts which replace the foam. They're available from MINI Cooper Parts. Costs like $30 though, so it's not exactly a bargain...seems like you could probably buy new OEM ones for about that price...that is, if your dealer won't take care of them--which they should!
