Hi there guys and gals...

I am in the market for a new mini S, but I havent been to the dealers yet. I was just wondering on a ball park price that I should expect from a dealer. I heard everything from 25g to 40g from people. So I really dont know what is happening.

Any Help would be appreciated

Jeff

Where are you located, Cool? Check out the Dealer Rating System in the Main Menu to the left to see what we enthusiasts have to say.

Go to MINIUSA.com, click on "build your own" to get the MSRP for your specs. There are many fine dealerships selling MSRP all over the US. The base price, no extras, for an S is just under $20K, fully loaded should be about $24K plus tax & license.

There are some unscrupulous dealers adding ridiculous mark-ups, but if you do some research, you'll find a good deal! And welcome to MCO! It's an entertaining and informative Board! Best of luck to you!

Cheers!

I also recommend going to the www.miniusa site and downloading the msrp with the model you want. I was told , however, if I was to order a 2003 at this time they couldn't give me a price. I did not want to order anything without knowing the price, so I picked up a 2002 mcs that someone backed out of, or couldnt wait for. The only problem with that is you dont get any choices on colors and options.

Got mine from Roadshow MINI in Cordova TN. Paid sticker, $21,800, for my Dark Silver/Black MCS with Premium and Cold package, carpet mats and space cloth. Just 13 more days til it shows up at my doorstep here in Oregon.

Did anyone order straight from the factory and get every option that you wanted and none that you dont want???

I am sorry Jeff....

According to a previous forum topic....I am supposed to find this question offensive and personal....

So, sorry...I can't tell you I ended up paying 3k over sticker on a car in stock (no wait) in Sacramento. I live in the L.A. area and they all wanted 6k - 10k over for cars in stock. And I shouldn't tell you it was two months ago.

You have offended me greatly with your interest in gaining further knowledge and insight!!!

I payed msrp and bought it from the dealer's next shipment. It took about 5weeks. The dealer thought it would take 3-4 but had some sort of delay.

BTW:  EXTREMELY HAPPY with it.

Road trip to Boston for the Long weekend
Should be fun.

Hi, Jeff!

An update: I took delivery of my MINI today! Paid MSRP, no tricks, no last minute pressure tactics, everything was delightful! I faxed my order to Tony Lage at Long Beach MINI in SoCal in late May, the order was booked June 10, it was completed 7/15, shipped 7/25, discharged from the vessel 8/19, and delivered to Long Beach MINI this morning. I picked up MINIclo this afternoon! All in all, a very pleasant experience! After all, how many people hug their car salesman? Well, I did! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Cheers!

I got my MCS about a month and a half ago at MSRP from MAG MINI in Columbus, Ohio. I had been on the waiting list for about a year. They tried to charge me an extra $1k but I argued and argued with them and one conveniently showed up at the dealership two weeks later. I think they just wanted to get the crazy woman out of their hair and out of their dealership!

Good luck getting yours. I love mine.
