Six official MINI shirts, one MINI hat, one MINI CD holder, one MINI pocket Pen Cam, several MINI Pens, MINI sun screen, two MINI coffee mugs, MINI car cover, etc., etc. According to my Quicken, over $1,000 "invested" already.

Also, going crazy with the MINI logo. Took all the other stickers off my motorcycle helmet, and added the MINI logo printed on label paper. Looks great!

Over the top? My MINI only plays "offical" MINI CD's which I burn myself complete with "MINI MUSIC" Labels featuring the logo and a pic of the MINI.

My friends are starting to worry about me. Truth is, I'm starting to worry about me too!

Tell me about it man!! I haven't even got my mini yet, but I already have "Dave's Mini Mix" cd's out the wazoo!!! I've got 14 cds, with an average of about 18-21 songs per cd! I've got them all ready for my mini! I'm going to drive off the lot playing low rider!! and before i take her i'm going to play one of the songs from the score of gone in 60 seconds!!! Images of that day run through my head!!

Nobody worries about me.. they're just kind of freaked out by my obsession! I kind of worried about myself

Gay ??

Not that there's anything wrong with that .....

He actually said the car was "openly gay" ???

Your uncle probably meant "gay", as in "happy".

And another thing .....

How can it be "gay" when Nigel Powers, Austin's father, owns one !

The chicks flock to him !

Yeah Baby, YEAH !

Grrrrrr !

I've heard all of that.......except for the car being an openly gay car!! LOL Do you think that's just a ploy by your uncle to thwart you from getting one??? LOL Perhaps he thinks if he tells you it's a gay car you won't want one?!?! LOL

And i agree with what was said in rebuttal to what your uncle said....... How could the mini be a gay car when Nigel Powers...... the most famous spy...... who is a lady killer...... drives one?!?! LOL

It's true about the Automobile article!!! It's in June's issue. I recently caught some serious flack over it from some buddies of mine. I came home one night to find the article circled in red marker. I just told them It's an interesting statement considering how many girls have already asked me to take them for a ride in the MINI I don't even have yet!

BTW I think the author of the article mininterpreted what the BMW rep, who he quoted, was actually saying. Basically BMW said the MINI transcends all races classes etc.

ok. I have a matchbox MINI, a 1/36th scale, a 1/32th, a 1/24th and of course a 1/18th. I have every magazine with MINIs and every cool photo in my screensaver. I have all the brochures and purchased two press kits and the CD press kit. I'm probably missing stuff.

BUT ANYWAY, today is my four-year wedding anniversary and my wonderful wife just got me a MINI hat, the cuckoo clock

>>I got a shirt from the dealer. I also found in amaxim magazine a air sick bag with a message" Let's not messup the interior, lot's keep motoring!" I keep on thpassenger side of the car!
british racing green cooper , white top w/ sun roof. All 3 pacombo's and I love it!

My husband is pissed because I threw the bag away after it sat on the dining room table for a few weeks. If anyone has an extra they want to part with, I'll pay postage to have you send it to me! Then I don't have to listen to him whine any more!

PS-My car was ordered last week. It will be in production sometime in October. Saleslady says by Thanksgiving. I'm trying to plan a trip as we speak!

No, he was referring to an article on the MINI in Automobile magazine where the author ended the review of the MINI by saying basically that the MINI was the first car openly built for gay people. Whatever. I could really care less. I think the MINI is for anyone who likes a cool car.

I agree!!! Who cares what this moron says about the mini!! It's what WE, and more importantly what YOU think about the car that matters!!!

I totally agree with you. I think the author completely missed the point that the BMW rep was trying to make. That the MINI is one of the few cars that is such an icon that it transcends all of the different types and groups of people in the world. That anyone and everyone will love the MINI. The MINI speaks to the individual and not to a group.
