Well welcome back! Rarely is such a long-lost thread revived by the original poster. Glad to hear you have enjoyed the years with your MINI!

Still got the wife too?

Gracias!

Thanks for the welcome back.

ABSOLUTELY still loving the car (though I still don't get to drive it nearly as much as she does, not that I begrudge it).

And, yes, loving the car AND the wife more and more.

Blast from the past pic -

What a great story! That lady of yours should love you forever! Congrats on keeping the marriage alive and keeping your MINI around!

When I get married, the car will most definitely be a Clubman (to avoid trouble getting in and out of backseat). I was thinking of renting a fleet of them to let the family drive them as well on that special day. Now must think of color combinations...

Gracias.

I've offered her a new one as a replacement, but she sees no need to get rid of this one yet.

I have a feeling she wants to keep a Mini in our fleet as long as she can, which is fine with me.

Better yet, SAY that you rented the Clubman, but later reveal that you actually BOUGHT IT....

These are both reasons why you are married and I am not.

Pretty cool reading this thread. Especially since my bride bought me my Mini. And we just celebrated our first anniversary last night!

You are my idol. Never leave her. Or I will take her (and your MINI).

Hey that is a nice story, do you still go on the Bucks County Covered Bridge Run? We had a nice one last year, around 90 cars.

We only made it to that first one, but probably should again one of these days.

We had a blast that time - and I seem to remember some good food at the brew-pub in New Hope right?

Well that is a pic of our lunch stop from last year, a little country store above New Hope, right off of 32 on that road leading up to Ringing Rocks State Park. PhillyMINI hasn't released a schedule yet for this season, but it should be up on the website soon. You should definitely come out for it this summer, it's a lot of fun.
