That's great. I get my grandma's old Pontiac Grand LeMans in doo-doo brown for my first car, and you get a MINI. These kids these days.....

 

You're a very lucky lad! My first car was a hand-me-down Honda Accord! (Which was a great decision on my parents part and I am still, to this day, grateful.)

Make sure that when your free maintenance is up that you do all of your own brakes, oil changes, etc... it will make you feel more in tune with and responsible for the car!
