I wish Daddy bought me pretty cars which I could flaunt about the Internet.

Gee let's not be nice about things.

That is a very nice bday present for sure, my first car was a 94 sentra xe that I hated. Seriously though, like everyone else said, don't be a statistic. Treat her well and she'll take care of you.

[jealousy]

I'm trying not to think this way... but I'm definately jealous as my first car at 18 cost me $500 of my own cash and I also paid my own insurance.

Heck it took me until 34 to be able to afford a Mini...

[/jealousy]

Keep your head in the game and don't be a statistic, we are all saying this as we have all been 16 and done stupid things...

Happy birthday!

Beautiful MINI and the options list is perfect.

Anybody know why some people say being rich wouldn't be great.

My first car I bought when I was 14 for $500. '77 ford LTD. Out in the rural areas of Ill.

I'd drive it or other farm vehicles etc.

I got my license when I was 16 and 2 days later got my first speeding ticket. 3 months later got my second speeding ticket. I slowed down after that.

Guess I was a slow driver when i was illegal. LOL

Nice ride. Be Safe

When I turned 16 a very long time ago, my dad gave me the keys to his Oldsmobile. Of course at the end of the night I had to fill the tank and give him his keys back.

A couple years later I bought my first car - a very used 1972 Ford Pinto. Who is jealous now?

Great b-day present rastablaze11. Happy birthday and welcome. I would tell you to have fun with it but that isn't really necessary. You will have fun.

Wow! Haaappy birthday!!

The Equinox seems a bit out of place for someone with those other vehicles.

I'm going to take a wild guess: Does your Dad own a Chevy dealership? You don't have to say what he does. Just a yes or no will suffice, if you don't mind. I'm just waaaaay curious.

First car

As a 18 year old Airman stationed in England 1967, my first car was a 1966 Austin Mini Van. I was young, dumb and full of cu_ and I ended up rolling it. I was lucky enough not to get hurt. I rebuilt the Mini and modded the hell out of it, but I never drove it like that again. Those type of accidents stay with you forever and to this day, I still take it easy in the turns. The license plate number of that Mini, RTW740D, graces the hood of my 04MCS. See gallery. Congrats.

A bit smaller than your MINI, but right up there in personality and handling.

Can't recall ever having so much fun-that is until I got my MINI about 3 years back!

Nice choice.

Now go enjoy yourself.

Keep us posted.
My first car was an 83 Champagne colored Datsun 280ZX that my mother drove for seven years. It had the T-tops. Man I loved that car...unless it was raining (split rear axle was not good on water).

Nice Mini. Tell your dad to sell the Equinox for a ZR1...
