I wouldn't worry about it. My MINI sat unused for a month this summer and all I did when I got home was start it up and take it for a drive. Only thing I noticed was a little bit of extra smoke for 2 seconds when it started up.

If you want to, you can disconnect the battery or get an inexpensive trickle charger and connect that to the battery. (I did neither of these)

it should be fine, the worst you would have to do is jump it when you get home, but i reall doubt you would have to do that

+1

A month isn't a big deal, just make sure you check the tire pressure when you get back, and maybe pop the hood and make sure a mouse hasn't made a new house.

And don't forget to bring your MINI a present back from your vacation.

My old POS Alero even started up after sitting in the driveway for close to 2 months. I wouldn't worry about the MINI, just make sure nothing has made a home in a wheel well or engine bay while you were away.

No worries. Mine has sat several times for a month or more with no issues. I usually try to make sure I have less than a half a tank of fuel and always check the tire pressure and oil before starting her up again!

If it's cold then have a FULL tank to eliminate any moisture build up. Other than that you're fine. Just think, cars sit on the dealer lot for many months without ever getting touched... ok maybe not a Mini, but think of all those domestics sitting.
Now if you were talking about 5 months... then we need to talk.
