From a stealer, it will be ...
...as much as $1,100 IF they also change the belt (which wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if you have a supercharger reduction pulley) . From a reputable MINI specialist it will be MUCH less.
Southbay MINI quoted me $1,100+ for my "inspection 2 + belt change." Steve's Auto Clinic charged me $570 for all the I2, + belt, + changed all coolant hoses, plus changed plugs, plus installed new aluminum coolant overflow reservoir, plus installed new coil, plus fixed a problem with my cat-back (Milltek, was not centered properly).
I supplied the plugs, coil, Alta hose set, and reservoir, but the belt and all the fluids, etc. were part of the $570. Oh, yeah: they also cleaned my K&N air filter and did not mess with my tune, and didn't give me any s*** for having a whole lot of non-OEM stuff on the car.
