The sched was for the ship to arrive on Feb 13 (13/02/2004 Back) and depart on the 14th.

But what actually happened was the ship actually arrived on Feb 13 off loaded the cars and then sailed out of port on Feb 13th. That was the red listing. The tides were with you....

They use the European dating of day/month/year.

My MINI arrived on the Sunday the 8th in Jersey City, was processed thru the DC, released late Weds to the trucking co. and arrived early on Fri, the 13th at the Dealer. It was received by the dealer and serviced with the settings that I wanted, and first thing on Mon morning, the 16th, it will be detailed.

Then, I'll drive her home at 11:00 AM. And then I'm officially 'A Motor-er'.

I ordered on 12/2/03 and delivery will be on 2/16/04.

It was great timing that my MINI left the factory, was transported to the shipping dock, and got on a boat within hours. There was absolutly no delay waiting for the ship. Then at the DC, my ship was in, off loaded, then the ship was out in the same day.

I ordered my Mini on the 27th of December. And it shipped out last last week. I had the same situation with the shipping. Completed and shipped same day. My dealer is in PA. I don't see anything yet on the shipping lock, as far as being off loaded. Did that information get processed quickly? Not sure how quickly they process the data.

Yes, I saw that my MINI was off loaded thru WW's site. At that point, the DC had contol of the car and the best source of info was directly thru the dealer. WW's site had no further data as they had released the car. MiniUSA was way behind and ASKMINI could confirm that the car was at the DC,but they said to contact the Dealer for the best 'current' info.

TAKASAGO is now reported on its way to Baltimore, so our MINIs must be on the ground in NJ. The WW site still lists my MINI as loaded on vessel but I bet its just going to take some time for the site to get updated. I feel so much better now that my baby in on its home shores.
I hope the OL is right and it'll be ready for delivery on 2/20.

Rivituso - I can't answer the question for you, but I'd say you better make sure the car seat fits in the MINI. The hospitals usually won't let you leave unless you have one and its properly installed. Seriously, congrats on the new kid! Is it your first? My two are no doubt the best things I ever did in my life, there're really great. But I suspect my MINIs going to be a close third.

My dealer has told me that next Tuesday is the big day. They need about 72 hours to install my options. Seems like a long time to me. They are suppose to get the vehicle on Friday.

My dealer called to say my Mini arrived yesterday and he'll have it ready for pick-up Monday. Its funny because I drove by the dealer last night to check out where he was located (we test drove while on vacation in CO and then ordered over the phone from our dealer here) and we didn't see any LY/W MCSs but there was a transporter out front. I told my wife I bet our was inside, I just somehow knew, and sure enough my MA called me this morning. They are going to install a few add-ons for me, detail the car and have it ready Monday. I hate to wait but we've got a busy weekend planned anyway. Only freebies that the dealer told me about so far is that he'll throw in the mats.

BTW I ordered Jan 9th. - almost exactly 6 weeks ago.

Great to hear it Qman. My dealer moved my date up. Saturday at 5:00 is my new pick time. Saturday is a big day. The wife and Kid come home and I pick up the car, NICE. I am luck the hospital and dealer are about 5 miles from my house. I hear terrible stories of people driving hours to get their MCS. Best of Luck to everyone. Keep the can't wait till Feb club alive!!!

I'm picking up my Mini on Monday!! Hope your pickup went well, Rivituso--BOTH of them, that is. Q-man, looks like we'll both have a good Monday! The Takasago was good to all of us, it would appear.

I got mine! Its great, I took the whole family out for a drive after I got it home and we ended up driving around till 9:30PM before we decided we needed to get the kids in to bed (one's 2 the other's 3). My son cried when we went home saying he wanted to ride some more. I know how he felt. Everything went well with the delivery. Some things I didn't know before I got the car. You get two keys with full remote capability, one with a silver MINI logo and one all black You also get a emergency plactic key. There's some confusion here as some people report their second key does not have the remote buttons. Also my car had the dome light disabled when I picked it up. I had to press the button on it for 5 seconds or so to get it to start working. Other than that no problems so far. Only mod to date is replacing the antennae with a shorty Honda S2000 part. Fits better under some equipment in my basement garage at the office.

Did the pickup yesterday, and everything went smoothly, except they didn't get the red seat covers I ordered installed in time. Nor did they get my radio presets in, but big deal... My MA was being sent on a trip by MINI to Finland leaving today, so he wanted to get me the car before I had to wait another week for him.

F&I was easy, just had to say no to an exorbitantly expensive extended warranty.

The car is great, but this break-in is gonna kill me!

q-man, we have yet to hear from you, fellow Takasagoer!

Installed an Alta intake last night. Went well except one of the support posts broke on the airbox. I also installed a glovebox shelf & 2 shelf console. I hind site I would have gone with a one shelf. Shelves are very close together. Will be installing springs and swaybar in 2 weeks. My dealer never went through presets with me. Does anyone know where to get a list of preset items?

I picked up my brand spanking new Mini TODAY!!! (January order) All went well and the hour and a half drive back from the dealers was an added road trip bonus. High praise to Mini of Towson and to saleman Brad B. He was very response throughout the wait period and delivered everything as promised. So far, so good!
