Looking to Buy... is this worth it?

I found a 04 MCS with the following mods:

Pulley, Mini Madness CAI, Nology Wires, Borla Exhaust, Enkei 17" Wheels, Hood Scoop, Shifter, HSport Shocks, Springs front and rear, adjustable camber/caster front and rear, sway bars front and rear, slotted rotors front and rear. The car is in very clean, no scratches, dents, dings, etc. The car has blue carpet when needs to be cleaned but other than that it looks pretty clean in the inside. The car has 41k miles and I have talked them down to 19.5 out the door.

Should I be concerned with a car that has this many mods on it? How can I tell if the cars ecu has been reprogrammed?

Thanks!

Assuming (I know) that this MINI is at a dealer, the mods mean nothing as far as value. An 04 with 41k miles is really about a $15k car. Keep negotiating, or keep looking. If you are still interested in this one, make sure you check the in-service date, to see how much warranty (if any) is remaining.

15k Really? Wow...NADA which is what most of the dealers around here go by says wholesale is 17325.00 and Retail is 19800.00. Looking at autotrader I could not even purchase a 2002 One for 15k???

With those mods, that car has almost certainly seen a track or two! I don't think with those mods anyone would ever accuse that car of having been babied!

Sounds like enthusiast's mods. Wonder if the previous owner is a member around here? I would do a quick check with the local MINI club to see if they may know the car. Where is it located?

Sounds like the price is about right for a dealer. I haven't seen any MCS's for sale in the Portland area for less than 14K and those were '02-03 with higher miles than the one you are looking at.
