I resently replaced my Altenator belt and it lasted a whole 300 miles before it shredded. It was not a factory belt. But what I did find out after I had to have it replaced out on the road that the place I had bought it from sold me one for a "S" not a Non "S". the difference is the "S" one is 3/32" of an inch wider and about twice the thickness as the Non "S" one.
Just a warning, don't be stupid like me, double check the comparison of the belts be for installing them.

well thats an interesting part, did the guys u bought it from look it up and tell u which it was? if they did go make them pay for it

 

Yes they did, and I went back to them and they said "Well thats what our computor says it should be so theres nothing we can do." Ok by me I said, but you will never get any more of my money.

So I told them that their info is wrong and they should pass on the info to their supplier to correct it. The guy just shrugged his shoulders

 

this is one reason I'm becoming more anti-social: this kind of shoulder-shrugging, I-could-care-less BS.
